Product Overview
Liberon Gilt Cream is an easy to apply gilt finish for touching up damaged gilding and for giving a gilt finish to new surfaces. Gilt Cream can be easily blended into damaged areas with a cotton cloth, Q-Tips or even better with stencil brushes (good china bristle or softer). The brushes should be dampened with mineral spirits before use and cleaned with mineral spirits after.
Allow to dry for a minimum of 4 hours, longer if possible and either leave matt or buff to a shine. For a better finish we recommend applying several thin coats of Gilt Cream as oppose to one thick coat. All colors are intermixable
Preparation
Seal porous surfaces, such as woods and plaster, before applying Liberon Gilt Cream. Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from dust.
Important
Always test product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility and end result.
Precautions
Gilt Creams may be reactivated or thinned with turpentine or good quality (100%) mineral spirits (white spirit).
